The RoleThe Account Manager is part of a high-performing local market team focused on providing top-tier marketing services for one of our largest global clients. Reporting to the Operational Team Lead, this role collaborates with shopper strategy and performance, promotional materials manufacturing specialists and a growing number of digital promotions suppliers, to ensure a smooth client experience. The team plays a central role in delivering “Procurement as a Service” — ensuring transparency, quality, and efficiency across marketing investments. With a focus on retail and shopper activation both on and offline, the Account Manager helps connect strategic priorities with local execution, contributing to smarter, quicker, and more impactful outcomes for premiums and gifting alongside print and POSM activations which may be happening in parallel in store.Purpose of the role- The Account Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily execution and coordination of client work, ensuring accurate and punctual delivery across all key project touchpoints. - They act as a liaison between clients and internal teams, helping to manage timelines, clarify briefs, and resolve issues with a clear, calm, and collaborative approach. - This role requires a confident communicator and organiser who is detail-oriented and capable of establishing trusted relationships with stakeholders. - The Account Manager plays a vital role in maintaining project momentum, ensuring alignment at every stage, and contributing to a smooth, efficient client experience. - They also serve as the heart of operational delivery—ensuring client satisfaction, internal clarity, and cross-functional coordination.Key Responsibilities:Assist in the delivery of client campaigns and activities from planning to implementation in the shopper marketing space Serve as a primary daily contact for internal teams and clients. Manage and update project timelines, budgets, and documentation to maintain visibility and control. Coordinate with client, supplier and distribution/logistics teams to ensure workstreams are aligned. Escalate issues and assist in resolving delivery challenges. Assist the Operational Team Lead and Senior Account Manager in preparing presentations, reports, and reviews. Ensure compliance with brand, budget, and process standards in all activities. Identify opportunities for ongoing improvement in workflow, tools, and client engagement.Skills, knowledge, experience and exposure- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a retail/shopper marketing, client services, or an aggregator agency procurement or delivery execution role. - Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to build relationships and communicate clearly across stakeholders - Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple tasks - Commercially aware and able to manage budgets accurately Solid understanding of premiums and/or gifting promotions, procurement and logistics processes. - Familiarity with Digital Premiums (such as coupons or vouchers) and procurement across borders would be an advantage.Mindset and temperament to navigate the roleThe ideal mindset for the Account Manager is one of accountability, curiosity, and collaboration. Above all, they take pride in being reliable and delivering high-quality work that others can depend on.Any specific role requirements• This is an in-market role and requires the Account Manager to be based in the client’s office on a day-to-day basis.• Written and spoken fluency in English and local market language is mandatory to be able to engage with local clients, colleagues and suppliers where briefs, ordering and reporting may be in one language and quotes sometimes in another.• Experience working across shopper, trade, or retail channels is preferred.• Experience of working for a globally recognized brand leader is also welcomed.
