Role : Senior Legal Professional -IPR Qualification : LL.B / LL.M Location : Andheri Experience : 10 to 15 years ( Media / Entertainment / Digital Content) Job Description : We are seeking an experiencedSenior Legal Professionalwith strong expertise inIntellectual Property Rights (IPR)to support and lead legal functions for a media-focused organization. The role requires deep understanding of media laws, content licensing, copyright management, and regulatory compliance within the media and entertainment ecosystem.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage alllegal and IPR mattersrelated to media content, broadcasting, publishing, and digital platforms Handlecopyright, trademark, licensing, assignments, and infringement matters Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including: Content acquisition & licensing agreements Talent, artist, influencer, and production agreements Distribution, syndication, and platform agreements NDAs, MOUs, and vendor contracts Advise internal stakeholders onIP protection strategiesand risk mitigation ManageIP portfolio , registrations, renewals, and oppositions Handledisputes, notices, and litigationrelated to IPR and media laws (with external counsels) Ensure compliance withmedia laws, IT Act, Copyright Act, Trademarks Act , and other applicable regulations Liaise with regulatory bodies, legal advisors, and enforcement agencies Support business teams in deal structuring from a legal and commercial perspective Keep abreast oflegal developments in media, digital content, and IP lawsKey Requirements LL.B / LL.M from a recognized university10–15 years of post-qualification experience , preferably frommedia, entertainment, broadcasting, OTT, or digital content companiesStrong hands-on experience inIPR (Copyright & Trademarks mandatory)Proven experience incontract drafting, negotiations, and licensingExposure to litigation management and regulatory advisoryAbility to work independently and lead legal matters end-to-endStrong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
