The role will be responsible for guiding and advising the Board of Directors, Chairman, CEO, and other senior leadership on legal matters. This position ensures that all business operations adhere to legal and regulatory requirements while safeguarding the company’s interest.Total /Relevant Experience20-25 years of overall legal experienceKey Responsibilities :Legal Contract(s) & RFP / Tenders related:Drafting, vetting, negotiating, and executing agreements (MSA, NDA, DPA, Property, Customer, Vendor, Business Partner, Tech Partner, domestic & cross-border contracts, RFP/Tender documents, etc.).Contract lifecycle management and maintaining legal records as custodianHandling legal notices, Stamp Act matters, and supporting legal & secretarial auditsManaging end-to-end contract repository and documentationData Protection Affairs:Conduct Privacy Impact AssessmentsDraft and maintain the Legal & Privacy Framework, policies, processes, and proceduresCoordinate with external data privacy expertsRepresent the Legal & Data Protection/Privacy function in committeesManage day-to-day tasks related to legal and data privacy protectionAddress and resolve data subject concernsSupport and maintain PIMS controls across the personal data lifecycleRegulatory, Compliance and Audit Affairs:Ensure compliance with the Information Technology Act and related RulesOversee GDPR compliance and implementationEnsure compliance with DoT, SEZ, Customs, RBI, and other regulatory bodiesMonitor and track legal & regulatory compliance across departments (HR, GRC, Finance, Facility, IT Operations, etc.)Represent the Legal Department during internal and external audits.Undertake applicable training as communicated from time to time.Understand the organization’s expectations towards all management systems the company is certified forParticipation in Risk assessment contributes to achieving departmental & management system objectivesAssist in maintaining PIMS controls throughout personal data lifecycle.Must-have skillLegal risk identification, assessments, mitigation, policy drafting.Strong understanding of Data privacy protection, ROPA, DPIA, and related controls and tasksIn-depth legal and regulatory compliance knowledgeExpertise in contract vetting, drafting, revisions, customer negotiation and Legal repository management,Strong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders effectivelyExperience conducting and handling auditsCapability to deliver training and awareness programsGood-to-Have SkillsHands-on experience in contract negotiation, drafting, vetting, execution, and managementAbility to understand and adapt to core legal and techno-legal functionsEnd-to-end experience in contract management (Drafting → review → negotiation → execution → repository)Awareness of IT, technology law, and current legal updatesKnowledge of data center industry operationsQualifications CriteriaMust hold an LL.M. degree from a recognized Law Institute in IndiaCertification CriteriaCIPP/E – Certified Information Privacy ProfessionalISO/IEC 27001 Lead AuditorISO/IEC 27701 Lead ImplementerBehavioral Attributes:Art of Skillful ConversationInnovative Management/MindsetBusiness AcumenDealing with AmbiguityLearning on the flyBuilding TrustCustomer FocusIntellectual HorsepowerAction Orientation & AccountabilityPrioritizing, Planning & OrganizingProcess–Quality ExcellenceListening, Sensing, ObservingDeveloping Direct ReportsBuilding Collaborative Relationships
