POSITION:Research Associate (RA) / Senior Research Associate( SRA) REPORTS TO: Delivery Leader and Administratively to the Partner LOCATION: New DelhiJOB DESCRIPTION The Research Associate ( RA)/ Senior Research Associate ( SRA) is responsible for providing high quality execution (Research & Mapping) support to the Partner in ensuring the successful and process-oriented delivery on each mandate to the client, the primary work areas of the role of the Research Associate are to:Understanding the mandate: The RA/SRA understands the client needs; will conduct extensive research to develop deep understanding of the assignment; it’s job responsibilities within a particular industry and /or function and functional due diligence. RA/SRA will use this knowledge to identify the most relevant executives for specific roles. The RA/SRA will participate in kick-off meetings and attend client briefings/meetings Intelligence and judgment on talent related market trends and dynamics / Industry knowledge / availability of skill set/ / out of box-creativity etcIdentifying the candidate – research and mapping The RA/SRA will then frame appropriate search strategy to develop a list of Target companies : They’ll tap thetargeted companiesthrough research, cold calling, online resources, published material, networks and our firm’s database to effectively spot the right applicants. Support in all stages of the execution process under the supervision of the DL, highlighting gaps in a timely manner, and working in collaboration with other team members. Short list Profiles through mapping Initiate communication with candidates (Preliminary Stage) and effectively and persuasively correspond the prospect with the potential applicants Precisely evaluate candidate’s profile against the desired job requirement. Interview candidates to define highs / lows and verify credentials. RA/SRAdoes an initial telephonic conversation/ basic first step interview with candidates based on the acid test criteria as discussed with the Partner Keeps the Partner abreast with the research work and related challenges he/ she faces and seek guidance wherever required. Discusses the research/ mapping report with the Partner and if required make necessary changes/ expand the scope of the search.Preparation of reports RA/SRA assists the DL in making Client and candidate reports and related documentation. documentation of high quality and accurate reportssuch as – target lists; Long Lists and Confidential candidate report, search progress report, role description document etc. which will be finalized by the Partner and in turn will enable clients to better understand the prospective candidates positioning us as industry expertsCommunication and Operational Support Provide co-ordination support in the search lifecycle in managing schedules, arranging interviews for clients and candidates; co-ordinating calls; following up; logistics where required etc. RA assists the DL/ Partner in coordinating candidate meetings with clients including necessary communication as may be required. Maintain on-going and timely communication with candidates and keep them informed as to status and progress of searchData Management: It is imperative for the RA/SRA to be with well versed with all internal/ external databases/ Internet search and good in networking/ sourcing skills. They need to ensure our firm’s internal database is consistently updated and maintained in order to enable us with high quality information regarding potential candidates and the targeted markets.Business Development RA/SRA is responsible for research for Business Development where they need to provide competitive market intelligence which relates to Client pitches and on-going Client competitive due diligence.
