Job Description – Transport OperationsCompany Name: Pon Pure Chemical India Private LimitedLocation / Region: ChennaiExperience: 3 to 8 YearsRole OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Transport Operations professional to manage and optimize transportation activities across India. The role involves vendor coordination, pricing analysis, cost optimization, and continuous improvement of transport operations.Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end transportation operations across Pan India, with a strong focus on pricing analysis and cost control. - Coordinate and negotiate with transport owners, vendors, and decision-makers to achieve competitive pricing and cost reductions. - Monitor and review existing transport rates and coordinate closely with the SS Transport team. - Identify areas for improvement in transportation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs. - Introduce new transport sources and innovative ideas to optimize logistics expenses. - Ensure effective implementation and understanding of transportation methods, costs, and benefits. - Maintain working knowledge of transportation market terms and practices. - Support and manage transportation-related documentation, including basic understanding of transport contract terms. - Prepare and maintain reports using MS Office tools for analysis and management review.Required Qualifications & Skills- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline. - 3 to 8 years of total experience, with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in transport or logistics operations. - Proficiency in multiple languages (3–4 languages) such as Tamil, English, Hindi, etc. - Strong understanding of transportation methods, costing, and operational benefits. - Basic system knowledge with hands-on experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). - Good negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills. - Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Attributes- Experience handling Pan India transportation operations. - Strong cost-optimization mindset and problem-solving ability. - Good communication and vendor management skills.
