Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer – Design & Engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing & developing for both Rooftop & Ground mounted Solar PV project up to evacuation of the generated power at 33KV or Higher system voltage. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. This role involves working closely with cross functional teams to create innovative and efficient solutions for various engineering challenges. CTC Range Key Responsibilities/ Accountabilities Electrical Design & Development: Design and develop electrical systems, circuits, and components for projects. Create detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings using CAD software. Select appropriate electrical components and materials to optimize performance and cost. Engineering Analysis & Compliance: Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and calculations for electrical designs. Ensure designs meet safety regulations, industry codes, and client specifications. Prepare and review technical documentation, including design reports and test plans. Project Execution & Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders. Support the procurement and integration of electrical systems in new and existing projects. Provide technical guidance to manufacturing, installation, and commissioning teams. Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct prototype testing, performance evaluations, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. Identify design issues, propose modifications, and implement solutions. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in electrical engineering. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. Role Demands (Travel) As and when required. Qualification Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical engineering Experience, Certification, Exposure M. Tech with 3-5 years Or B .Tech with 5-7 Years of experience in the design and Engineering of Solar PV Projects, including Roof Top, Ground Mounted, and Carport Solar PV systems. Proficiency in electrical CAD software (e.G., AutoCAD, PVsyst, SketchUp, and MS Office Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical). Strong understanding of circuit design, power distribution, and control systems. Knowledge of relevant standards (e.G., NEC, IEC, IEEE). Experience with simulation and analysis tools (e.G., MATLAB, ETAP). Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA, and industrial automation is a plus. Strong communication & Coordination skills with clients, site teams, inter department and other stakeholders to meet -achieve design parameters with applicable standards and norms for the assigned Project. Hands-on experience and exposure 2-3 years in designing GT Rooftop Solar PV Projects at least 100 KW or above capacity with various kinds of roofs like inclined sheet metal-Flat Cement concrete. etc. Well Conversant with Electrical Engineering terminology and design aspects to create SLD-Schematic and Interconnection schemes. Well conversant and familiar with Transformer-Cables and other desired electrical Switch gear sizing desired and mandatory for Solar Plant designing. Well conversant and familiar with selection of SPV Module-Solar Inverter and Solar connectors to suit the required design standards of Solar System. Proficiency and familiar with creation of detailed Solar Project BOM with suitable technical Specification as per applicable standard and norms of Solar PV System. Preferred Skills: Experience with on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid solar power system design. Knowledge of solar panel configurations, inverter selection, and battery storage integration. Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PVsyst, Helioscope, ETAP, or HOMER for system modeling and analysis. Load flow analysis, short circuit studies, and voltage drop calculations. Grounding and protection system design for solar installations. Understanding of MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking), string inverters, central inverters, and microinverters. Designing cables, combiner boxes, switchgear, transformers, and metering for solar plants. Familiarity with NEC, IEC, IEEE, UL, NFPA 70, NABCEP, and local grid regulations. Knowledge of SCADA, data loggers, weather stations, and remote monitoring for solar power plants. Experience with lithium-ion and lead-acid batteries, battery management systems (BMS), Experience conducting site surveys, shading analysis, and feasibility studies. Understanding of terrain analysis and structural considerations for mounting systems.
