TL;DR: We’re looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with hands-on experience managing cross-border startup finance. You’ll own end-to-end financial operations, compliance, audits, and investor reporting for both our Indian Pvt Ltd and US C-Corp entities.If you’ve handled everything from Delaware filings, GST, TDS, and transfer pricing to fundraising due diligence and data room management, this is the role for you.About Proof-of-Skill Proof-of-Skill is a blockchain-based protocol for skill verification and credentialing. We’re building a trustless way to prove talent to the world — and you’ll ensure our financial systems are as credible and compliant as the credentials we issue.Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end accounting, audits, and compliance for Indian and US entities. - Coordinate with CA/CPA firms to ensure timely filings (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, Delaware franchise tax, IRS). - Maintain accurate books, board resolutions, and cap tables across jurisdictions. - Oversee monthly closings, burn rate reports, and investor dashboards. - Support fundraising processes, including due diligence, SAFE/convertible note tracking, and data room setup. - Handle vendor payments, reimbursements, international wire transfers, and FX compliance. - Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning. - Liaise with banks, payment gateways, and treasury platforms for seamless cash flow management. - Ensure compliance with transfer pricing, intercompany transactions, and cross-border taxation. - Work closely with founders to align financial controls with company growth.Qualifications & Skills- Chartered Accountant (CA) — preferred. - 1-3 years of experience in startup or cross-border finance. - Deep knowledge of Indian and US compliance frameworks (GST, TDS, FEMA, 409A, Delaware tax, etc.). - Strong understanding of fundraising instruments (SAFE, convertible notes, equity). - Excellent documentation and communication skills across global stakeholders. - Proficiency in QuickBooks, Tally, Excel/Google Sheets, and Notion. - Bonus: Familiarity with crypto/blockchain financial flows or treasury tools.Ideal Candidate- Extremely detail-oriented, organized, and proactive. - Comfortable navigating ambiguity and fast-moving startup environments. - High sense of ownership with the ability to work async across time zones. - Ethical, discreet, and trusted with sensitive financial data. - A builder mindset — eager to set up systems, not just maintain them.
