The firm is committed to strict confidentiality standards, consistent quality controls and seamless collaboration with client teams across multiple sectors.Purpose of the roleThe Finance Associate will support the finance function with a primary focus on trust accounting and financial controls. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate trust account records, reconciling transactions, supporting compliance requirements, and ensuring that all trust monies are handled strictly in accordance with applicable regulatory and internal standards. This is a support role with no external client advisory responsibility.Responsibilities and duties- Maintain accurate day-to-day records of trust account transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and balances - Perform regular trust account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies promptly - Ensure segregation of trust monies from operating accounts at all times - Support preparation of trust account reports and audit schedules - Assist with compliance checks relating to trust accounting obligations - Maintain supporting documentation for all trust transactions - Coordinate with the Finance Manager on month-end and year-end close activities involving trust accounts - Support banking operations related to trust accounts, including payment processing and approvals - Ensure adherence to internal approval workflows and financial controls - Assist with statutory and internal audits by providing trust accounting records and explanations - Maintain clear documentation, logs, and version control for trust-related records - Support other finance operations as required, including basic bookkeeping and reporting tasksKey Deliverables- Accurate and up-to-date trust account ledgers - Timely and reconciled trust account balances - Clear audit trails and supporting documentation for all trust transactions - Compliance with internal trust accounting controls and procedures - Reliable reporting inputs for audits and management reviewKey Relationships:- Finance and Business Administration Manager - Director - Business Analyst - Operations and case management teams - External accountants and auditors (as required)Compliance and Confidentiality- All financial and administrative operations must be conducted using approved platforms and tools. - Confidential employee, financial, and client data must be securely stored and protected in accordance with Indian data protection obligations and contractual expectations of the Australian client. - The role will be accountable for ensuring that no unauthorised access or disclosure of sensitive business information occurs.Essential skills- Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals - Attention to detail and high numerical accuracy - Ability to follow structured financial controls and approval processes - Clear documentation and record-keeping discipline - Comfort working with reconciliations and audit requirements - Reliable time management and ability to meet deadlines - Advanced Excel skillsQualifications and experience- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, or a related field - Two to four years of experience in finance or accounting roles - Prior exposure to trust accounting or client money handling is strongly preferred - Experience with accounting software and spreadsheets - Understanding of compliance-driven financial environmentsEmployee BenefitsEmployees of Loch Corporate Services Private Limited are entitled to the following benefits:- Four weeks of paid annual leave - Health insurance coverage - Provident Fund (PF) contributions in accordance with Indian regulations - Performance-linked bonuses, subject to eligibility and company policy
