Job Title

To lead and manage SAP Basis and Security operations across the enterprise, ensuring system stability, performance, and compliance. This role combines infrastructure oversight with governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) responsibilities, supporting both technical and regulatory needs of SAP landscapes.Key ResponsibilitiesBASIS Administration- Oversee installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO, Fiori, Solution Manager). - - Manage system upgrades, kernel patches, and support packs with sandbox validation and production rollout. - - Monitor system performance, conduct health checks, and coordinate with OS/DB teams for optimization. - - Approve and plan SAP downtime for upgrades and maintenance activities. - Expertise on Cloud ALM - - Ensure backup and disaster recovery strategies are in place and testedSecurity Management- Govern SAP user access, role design, and authorization management across modules and environments.- Implement and maintain GRC/IAG Access Control, SoD frameworks, and audit controls.- Conduct periodic reviews of privileged accounts, inactive users, and role assignments.- Lead automation initiatives for audit compliance and de-provisioning processes.- Manage security for SAP GUI, Fiori, RFC, and background users with correct mapping and custodianship.Governance & Compliance- Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, and internal audit requirements.- Collaborate with internal and external auditors for security assessments and remediation.- Maintain documentation for security configurations, approval matrices, and audit logs.Leadership & Collaboration- Lead cross-functional teams including Basis, Security, Infra, and Application Support.- Mentor junior staff and foster continuous improvement through training and knowledge sharing.- Coordinate with project teams for secure SAP implementations and upgrades.Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.- 12+ years of SAP experience, with at least 5 years in Basis and Security leadership roles.- Strong knowledge of SAP NetWeaver, HANA, GRC, IAG, Cloud ALM and Solution Manager.- Certifications in SAP Basis, SAP Security, and ITIL preferred.Skills & Competencies- Expertise in SAP system architecture, transport management, and performance tuning.- Deep understanding of SAP authorization concepts and GRC tools.- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.- Ability to manage complex projects and align technology with business needs.Work Challenges- Balancing operational support with strategic security initiatives.- Managing hybrid cloud/on-premise SAP environments.- Ensuring compliance across global teams and evolving regulatory landscapes.- Driving automation while maintaining control and auditability.
