Job Description

Role OverviewWe are looking for a CI/CD DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in GitLab repository administration, Git security, and CI/CD operations. The role focuses on monitoring and maintaining GitLab pipelines, ensuring secure and reliable code workflows, supporting developers, and managing integrations like SonarQube. Knowledge of AWS cloud platform is required. Strong communication skills are essential due to frequent collaboration with development and security teams.Key ResponsibilitiesGitLab Repository & CI/CD AdministrationMonitor GitLab pipelines, runners, and overall project activity.Manage repository configurations, access rules, branch protection, and merge request workflows.Ensure CI/CD pipeline rules, triggers, and approvals are enforced correctly.Support developers with pipeline failures, Git issues, scan errors, and access problems.Security Scan & Quality MonitoringCheck and troubleshoot failed scans including:SAST/DASTDependency scanningSecrets scanningLicense complianceContainer scansSonarQube scansReview SonarQube quality gate status, code vulnerabilities, and remediation reports.Validate integration between GitLab pipelines and SonarQube scanners.Review daily security/vulnerability findings and ensure reports are generated and shared.Support audits, compliance checks, and vulnerability remediation.Implement secrets management using Vault, AWS Secrets Manager, or GitLab variables.DevOps & AWS Cloud SupportWork with AWS services (EC2, ECR, IAM, S3, CloudWatch) for CI/CD workflows.Support container builds, image scanning, and deployments from GitLab CI/CD to AWS.Maintain secure secrets handling through GitLab CI/CD variables, AWS Secrets Manager, or Vault.Collaborate with cloud and security teams to ensure alignment with best practices.Required SkillsStrong hands-on experience with GitLab administration and CI/CD pipelines.Good understanding of Git repository management, branching strategies, and access controls.Experience with DevSecOps scanning tools (SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, SonarQube).Knowledge on CI/CD Pipeline ManagementWorking knowledge of AWS cloud environment.Proficiency in Bash, Shell, or Python scripting.Ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures and system issues efficiently.
