Art Production ManagerCondé Nast is seeking a freelance Art Production Manager to support Wired Middle East andother brands in the market, as required. This position plays a vital role in connecting creative,editorial and operations teams in order to produce the highest quality content.Reporting to the Art Production Director and based in the Mumbai office, the Art ProductionManager will be tasked with helping to traffic stories though the editorial workflow, acting asa lynchpin between all content creators, while also delivering story assets to global editionsaccording to strict deadlines. The successful candidate will have a diverse skill set and becomfortable in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment working with layouts, images andtext, as well as various delivery systems.Key Responsibilities:Assist Wired Middle East leadership team.Support Vogue Arabia and GQ Middle East, as required..Collaborate across departments to traffic digital and print stories through the editorial workflow. Work with editors to resolve fit as needed, inspecting layouts to ensure that artwork and other page elements are in place.Distribute PDFs for review and obtain approvals.Gather editorial assets – text, layouts, images – to up-/download for local or global use.Build/design layouts for network syndications, adapting from source layout to local template, updating fonts, text, and structure as needed.Responsible for tracking print syndication data and editorial page counts.Create, organise and monitor editorial communication channels on Slack.Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovations in art production, and bring fresh ideas to the team to keep the brand’s visual content cutting-edge.Inspect and quality-check layouts for shipping.Trafficking images and layouts to repro/print production. Liaising with repro/print production on retouching notes.Perform quality check on all pages before files go to press. Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure all visual materials are accurate, high-quality, and aligned with brand guidelines.Communicate with the Technology team to solve any technical issues.May support additional design tasks when the lead designer is out of office.Skills & Requirements:2+ years experience working in publishing, media or similar fields.Proficient working in InDesign. Experience using Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.Experience using K4 or similar content management system is a plus.Highly organised and with a sharp eye for detail.A skilled multi-tasker who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced creativeenvironment.Strong and diplomatic communication skills – the successful candidate will work with stakeholders across several departments.Tech-savvy.Professional proficiency in English is essential. Written and spoken Arabic is a plus.Strong communication skills and high attention to detail; has the ability to multi-task and delegate work; thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced creative environment.Strong visual eye for layout, press, and images.
