Job Title: Senior Linux AdministratorExperience Required: 5–8 YearsWork Location: Hyderabad ( Work From Office)Shift: 24/7 rotational shiftJob Summary:We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Linux Administrator to manage and support enterprise-scale Linux environments across multiple distributions including RedHat, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky, and Alma Linux. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in system administration, automation, clustering, and container technologies.Primary Responsibilities:Administer and maintain various Linux distributions: RHEL, SUSE, Ubuntu, CentOS, Rocky Linux, AlmaLinuxImplement and manage Pacemaker High Availability (HA) ClustersPerform patch management.Create and manage partitions, LVMs, and mount file systemsConfigure and manage yum repositories, perform kernel upgrades and minor OS version updatesTroubleshoot Linux servers running on virtual platformsPerform scheduled operations such as log rotation, cron job management, and automated tasksMonitor and tune server performance, analyze logs and resolve performance bottlenecksApply ITIL best practices in incident, request, problem, and change managementConfigure and secure systems using iptables, TCP wrappers, and host-level firewall settingsInstall and configure services: FTP, Samba, NFS (server/client), DNS, HTTPD/Apache, LDAPManage DNS entries and host records using DNS portalsAutomate tasks using Shell Scripting and Ansible PlaybooksPerform system backups using tar, rsync, scp, gzip, etc.Work in 24/7 support model, primarily during North America shiftsPrepare incident reports (IRs) and root cause analysis documentationSupport project build and BAU operations for large-scale infrastructureRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field4–8 years of hands-on Linux system administration experienceStrong understanding of Linux internals, system boot process, runlevels, and systemdExperience in Pacemaker cluster setup and troubleshootingScripting expertise in Bash/Shell.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for infrastructure and application issuesGood verbal and written communication skillsWillingness to work in rotational shifts.Preferred Certifications:Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) / Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)SUSE Certified Administrator (SCA)
