Job Title: Assistant Manager Design QADepartment: Quality AssuranceLocation: GurgaonReports To: Head QualityJob Purpose:We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Design QA Assistant Manager to ensuredesign quality is embedded throughout all phases of the hardware and softwaredevelopment lifecycle of the product. The ideal candidate will serve as the Quality pointof contact for R&D teams, ensure rigorous quality compliance, and facilitate a seamlesstransition from design to production, while adhering to regulatory (CEMILAC, RCMA)and various standards like DO-254, MIL-STD-810, JSS-55555, MIL-STD-461.Key Responsibilities: Knowledge of various standards like DO-254, MIL-STD-810, JSS-55555, MILSTD-461, or similar defense/aerospace quality standards. Act as the primary Quality point of contact during design and developmentphases, including participation in design and gate reviews. Drive closure of open quality issues from previous reviews and ensure lessonslearned are implemented in current and future projects. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in Design, Production, andRegulatory(CEMILAC, RCMA) to ensure high-quality deliverables. Conduct and support Product Readiness Reviews (PRR) and Test ReadinessReviews (TRR) in alignment with project milestones. Review and verify product and component-level qualification and validationplans, including environmental and reliability testing. Ensure compliance with CEMILAC, RCMA, and other relevant military andaerospace product regulatory requirements. Support Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and ensureeffective use of other design quality tools. Facilitate and monitor New Product Introduction (NPI) processes to ensurerobust transfer from design to production. Champion the use and adherence to IPC J-STD-001 and IPC-A-610 standardsfor PCB assembly and inspection. Develop and maintain QA metrics, risk assessments, and validationdocumentation as per internal and external quality standards.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technicalfield. Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a quality assurance role within theelectronics/defense manufacturing industry. Proven experience in design and development QA. In-depth understanding of NPI best practices, including quality methodologies,tools, and life cycle processes. Hands-on experience with product qualification and compliance testing(environmental, EMI/EMC, thermal, vibration, etc.). Strong knowledge of defense product certifications from CEMILAC, RCMA, IPC-A-610 Certified Experience working in projects involving DO-254, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, or similar defense/aerospace quality standards.
