Title - System EngineerType - Contract Location - Remote Roles and Responsibilities:- Design, deploy, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including EC2 instances, S3 buckets, VPCs, RDS databases, and Lambda functions.- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of backup, high-availability, and disaster recovery solutions.- Develop and monitor automation scripts and tools for provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of cloud and on-premises resources.- Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement improvements to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost efficiency.- Implement security best practices and compliance standards to safeguard cloud environments.- Administer company SaaS platforms to enhance user productivity, focusing on tools like Okta and AWS Workspaces.- Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and support application deployments.- Provide technical guidance and support to junior cloud engineers and other team members.- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services, features, and best practices, and evaluate their applicability to our infrastructure.Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing AWS cloud solutions.- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification is highly preferred.- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and architectures, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in cloud environments.- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.Tools and Technologies:- Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Lambda, CloudFormation, and CloudWatch.- Experience with infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.- Proven hands-on experience supporting the Okta SSO Platform.- Solid understanding of networking concepts and technologies, including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, and routing.- Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as Data Dog, Orion, Nagios, and WhatsUp Gold.- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
