Job purpose: To lead the strategic procurement of raw cashews and related inputs, ensuring the timely, cost-effective, and sustainable supply of high-quality nuts. You'll oversee global sourcing strategy, supplier development, contract negotiation, inventory forecasts, and risk managementsupporting both business growth and ethical sourcing practices. Role & responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management Develop and execute end-to-end cashew procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers (farmers, cooperatives, processors), and nurture existing relationships. Contract Negotiation & Financial Oversight Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, supply volume, quality standards, and logistics. Track budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives. Market & Risk Analysis Monitor global cashew markets, price trends, and supply chain risks. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans. Team Leadership & Collaboration Manage and build a high-performance procurement team. Coordinate with cross-functional departmentsQuality, Logistics, Finance, Sustainabilityto align sourcing goals and ensure compliance. Process & Compliance Management Design and uphold procurement policies, procedures, and ethical sourcing standards. Drive continuous improvements through system enhancements and performance monitoring. Reporting & Performance Metrics Report on key procurement KPIs: cost savings, supplier performance, inventory levels, compliance, and risk status. Provide data-driven insights to senior leadership. Supplier Audits & Quality Assurance Coordinate supplier audits, quality inspections, and sustainability assessments. Drive corrective action plans as needed. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Agribusiness, or related discipline; Masters degree or CIPS/CPSM certification preferred. Minimum3years in commodity/agricultural procurement with at least2years in leadership roles; cashew procurement experience strongly preferred. Proven expertise in strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations. Strong analytical, financial, and risk-management capabilities. Experience with ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, e-sourcing platforms). Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills; willingness to travel to sourcing origins.
