This role will be central to ensuring successful, secure, and well-governed releases to support both on-premises and cloud-first environments in a modern workplace strategy.Key Responsibilities: Release Planning & Governance Own and manage the full release lifecycle for: Windows OS Feature Updates(Semi-Annual Channel upgrades, servicing stack updates) Microsoft 365 Releases(Office apps, Teams, OneDrive, Outlook) Monthly Patching(Windows OS, M365, third-party apps) Windows 365 / Cloud PCservice updates (image refresh, policy configuration, network policies) Autopilot Deployment Updates : Manage configuration profiles, Enrolment status pages, and ESP testing Coordinate release and validation of Autopilot device profiles and white-glove provisioning Application Lifecycle Management : New app rollouts, upgrades, deprecation, and compatibility testing across device estate Maintain acentralized release calendar , aligning with Microsoft release cadences and internal change windows. Conduct impact analysis, define success/rollback criteria, and ensure test coverage before go-live. Execution & Coordination Lead cross-functional coordination with EUC Engineering, App Owners, Security, Networking, and Support teams. Plan, schedule, and monitor phased rollouts (Pilot > Test > Production). Ensure all releases comply withChange Managementprocedures: RFC submission, CAB attendance, stakeholder communication, and user readiness. Track post-release performance, user impact, and incident trends for continuous improvement. Automation & Tools Leverage modern Microsoft tools and platforms for release execution: Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) ,MECM (SCCM) ,Autopilot ,WUfB Cloud PC Admin Portal ,Windows Update Analytics ,Endpoint Analytics ServiceNow ,Jira ,Confluence ,Power BIfor tracking and reporting Automate patching, application deployments, reporting, and compliance tasks where possible. Documentation & Communication Maintain comprehensive release documentation: runbooks, SOPs, rollback plans, FAQs. Publish regular release notes and internal communications on changes and upcoming releases. Track and report release KPIs: deployment success rate, rollback instances, ticket volumes, and SLA adherence.Qualifications & Skills: 5+ yearsof experience in Release Management, preferably in enterprise Microsoft environments. Deep technical understanding of: Windows OS update lifecycle Microsoft 365 desktop apps and service releases Windows Autopilotdeployment and provisioning Windows 365 / Cloud PCconfiguration and user experience Intune / SCCM / Endpoint Analytics Familiar withMicrosoft update channels(Monthly Enterprise, SAC, Current Channel). Experience withapplication packaging , version control, deployment testing, and ALM tools. Familiarity withITILrelease/change management, governance, and incident response processes.
