Elephant in the Boardroom – a digital marketing agency that runs large-scale, high-stakes campaigns for international clients (mostly Australia-based). We’re not looking for someone who just runs ads . We’re looking for a strategist who runs the show. About the Role You’ll lead the Google Ads vertical — not only managing campaigns but also setting the direction, ensuring our clients see results before they even ask. You’ll own performance, mentor the team, and keep our clients’ confidence high by being two steps ahead of every issue. You'll be responsible for Campaign Mastery: Plan, execute, and optimize high-budget Google Ads campaigns (Search, Display, Video, Performance Max, Discovery) across multiple industries. Strategic Thinking: Go beyond “keywords and CPCs” — use analytics and audience insights to shape strategy that delivers business results, not just traffic. Team Leadership: Mentor, review, and upskill the Ads team. Conduct regular performance audits and training sessions. Client Management: Act as the Google Ads subject matter expert in client meetings. Confidently translate performance data into clear business impact. Quality Control: Monitor campaign behaviour and anticipate performance dips before they appear on reports. Innovation & Advancement: Stay updated with the latest ad formats, AI automation, audience segmentation, and bidding strategy updates — and apply them. Collaboration: Work with design, content, and analytics teams to ensure campaigns are cohesive and goal-driven. Ideal Profile 5–8 years of solid Google Ads experience , preferably in a digital agency environment handling international clients. Proven success in managing large monthly budgets. Deep understanding of conversion tracking, attribution models, GA4, and data-driven decision-making . Strong command over bidding - manual & automation, smart campaigns, and remarketing strategies . A problem-solver who spots issues before anyone else — and fixes them with precision. Confident communicator who can manage both internal teams and demanding clients with ease.
