About the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure Platform Engineer to design, build, scalable, secure, and reliable cloud platforms on Microsoft Azure. You will be part of the IT – Operations department. The role involves working closely with development, DevOps, SRE and security teams to enable efficient delivery of applications and services while ensuring compliance, cost optimization, and operational excellence. The team has a flat, low-key, and fun work environment, where you will be able to bring your opinions and skills to life and build your own future. You will be primarily working from Chennai, India through our partner (Greaves Technologies) with teams located across Norway, USA, Denmark and UK. Responsibilities Cloud Platform Engineering Implement, and maintain Azure-based compute offerings based on industry best practices. Manage subscriptions, resource groups and resources following our SaaS-based Product architecture standards. Automate provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with tools like Bicep. DevOps & CI/CD Enablement Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. Support application deployment patterns including microservices, APIs, and serverless architectures. Enable containerized workloads using AKS, Azure Container Apps, and ACR. Operations & Reliability Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance. Manage cost optimization and resource governance policies in Azure. Security & Compliance Integrate Azure security best practices including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Defender for Cloud, and network security controls. Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions. Collaboration & Support Partner with developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver platform capabilities. Troubleshoot issues across Azure environments and provide L2/L3 support. Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Cloud Expertise : Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Databases, Identity, Security, AKS, etc.). IaC : Proficiency in Bicep, Terraform or ARM templates. Scripting/Automation : Solid skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python. DevOps Tools : Experience with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for CI/CD. Monitoring : Knowledge of Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics. Security : Strong understanding of Azure IAM, Key Vault, Private Endpoints, and networking security. Containers : Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (preferably AKS). Collaboration : Ability to work in agile teams, excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Knowledge of SaaS security best practices (data isolation, tenant-aware logging, secure onboarding). Preferred Skills Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / Solutions Architect Expert / DevOps Engineer Expert. Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments. Exposure to FinOps practices (Azure Cost Management & Optimization). Background in SaaS-based product environments.
