Role Overview We are looking for a smart, ambitious, and hands-on Category Manager to take full ownership of a regional travel portfolio. This role is designed for young professionals who want to fast-track their careers by directly driving business results in a high-growth environment. As the owner of your region , you will be responsible for revenue growth, market share expansion, and profitability . You will identify gaps in the market, conceptualize unique travel experiences, and ensure our offerings remain competitive and compelling for travelers. Note: This is a strategy plus execution role Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Planning & Market Development Develop and implement a regional growth plan based on market research. Identify untapped opportunities, seasonal demand patterns, and niche customer segments to create differentiated offerings. 2. Product Strategy & Pricing Work closely with the product team to create differentiated travel products that resonate with customer needs and preferences. Ensure pricing is market-relevant, factoring in demand cycles, vendor rates, and promotional strategies. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Sales Managers to ensure sales strategies are aligned with market realities and team feedback. Collaborate with Marketing to design effective campaigns that generate quality customer interest for your region. Provide destination-specific insights and training to sales teams to improve conversions. 4. Data Analysis & Performance Tracking Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and implement quick, effective solutions. 5. Vendor & Partner Management Maintain strong relationships with destination vendors, ensuring competitive offerings without compromising quality. Stay updated on changes in travel regulations, airline routes, and local tourism developments impacting your category. Skills & Qualifications MBA from a reputed business school 3–5 years of work experience in sales, category management, or business planning in sectors like Travel, e-commerce, ed-tech, fintech, Insurance, Hospitality etc. Proven ability to plan, execute, and track business outcomes with minimal supervision. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel — capable of building performance reports independently. High energy, self-motivation, and a bias for action; thrives in an unstructured, high-responsibility environment.
