Job Description

Role Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to lead the QA/QC function for Low Tension (LT) Power & Control Cables . The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in cable testing, quality management systems, regulatory compliance, and customer audits. The role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of national and international standards, and a proven ability to drive continuous improvement in quality processes. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage the Quality Assurance & Control processes for LT power, control, and instrumentation cables. Implement, monitor, and improve quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 17025) . Ensure compliance with IS, IEC, BS and other relevant international standards. Conduct routine, acceptance, and type tests on LT cables, including: High Voltage Tests Insulation Resistance Tests Conductor Resistance Tests Partial Discharge & Loss Factor Measurements Prepare and maintain test certificates, calibration reports, and quality documentation . Manage customer inspections, audits, and certifications (BIS, NABL, CPRI, ERDA, CTL). Lead root cause analysis and resolve customer complaints through corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Drive cost optimization, process improvements, and statistical process control (SPC) in QA/QC functions. Train and mentor QA/QC teams on best practices, testing procedures, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with R&D/Design teams for new product development and validation. Ensure safety compliance in QA/QC laboratories and testing operations. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of cable testing (LT, MV, HV up to 220 kV) and related quality parameters. Expertise in IMS, ISO standards, sustainability reporting (GHG, LCA, EPD) . Proficiency in statistical analysis, SPC tools, and Six Sigma methodology . Skilled in handling customer and third-party audits . Strong documentation, reporting, and analytical skills. Team leadership, training, and cross-functional communication. Qualifications Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering (preferably Physics/Electrical). Six Sigma Black Belt / Green Belt certification preferred. Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001:2015 will be an added advantage. 12–18 years of experience in QA/QC of cables (EHV/MV/LT) , with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
