Years of work experience: 8 to 15 Years Education: Any Engineering (BE Electrical | Electronics preferred) Location: Vemagal, Kolar, Karnataka Key Responsibilities: 1. Vendor Relationship Management Identify, screen, build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers, manufacturers, and service providers to ensure alignment with company goals. Conduct regular vendor performance reviews, audits (critical understanding to have) , and evaluations to ensure compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards. Resolve vendor-related issues promptly, including disputes, delays, or quality concerns. 2. Contract Negotiation & Compliance Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining service quality. Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations, SLAs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., environmental, ethical, and sustainability standards). 3. Supply Chain Planning Support Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to execute the broader supply chain planning, providing insights on vendor capabilities and market trends. Identify opportunities for vendor consolidation, diversification, or localization to reduce risks and costs. 4. Performance Monitoring & Analytics Track vendor KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery, defect rates, cost savings) using supply chain software and analytics tools. Prepare reports on vendor performance, risks, and opportunities for senior management. 5. Risk Mitigation & Sustainability Proactively identify risks (geopolitical, logistical, financial) in the vendor ecosystem and develop contingency plans. Promote sustainable practices by evaluating vendors’ environmental policies and advocating for eco-friendly solutions (e.g., green packaging, carbon-neutral logistics). 6. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with production, engineering, and finance teams to align vendor performance with operational needs. Support demand forecasting and inventory planning by providing vendor lead-time and capacity data. 7. Cost Optimization Drive cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, bulk purchasing, and process improvements. Analyze total cost of ownership (TCO) to recommend vendor alternatives where beneficial.
