We’re looking for a driven techno functional Sr. Business Systems Analysts or Lead Business Systems Analysts who thrive in high-impact, zero-to-one environments. This individual will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders (e.g., product managers, data scientists, business intelligence teams) and technical data engineering/analytics teams. They will be responsible for understanding complex data-driven business needs, translating them into precise technical specifications for data acquisition, processing, modeling, and consumption, and ensuring the successful delivery and adoption of high-quality data products. THE GIG: Own complex data requirements and translating them into clear, unambiguous specifications involving data profiling, data lineage, transformation rules, business rules, and consumption patterns. Define data product use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria with a strong focus on data accuracy, completeness, and usability. Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Architects, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, and BI Developers to design scalable, efficient, and robust data products and solutions. Provide functional and technical guidance to Data Engineering and BI teams throughout the data product development lifecycle. Clearly articulate complex data concepts and technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders. THE STUFF THAT SETS YOU APART Required Experience and Skills – Our Must Haves: 4-6 years of experience solid experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Sr.Data Analyst or similar profile in Retail domain preferably in fashion & apparel. Hands on experience with data analysis, complex data transformations with strong SQL proficiency for data querying, analysis, and validation preferrable using Snowflake or Databricks. Understanding of ETL/ELT concepts and experience with tools like DBT, Apache Spark, Informatica, Azure Data Factory or custom scripting. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence diverse audiences. Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, planning and organizational skills. Ability to thrive in a complex environment consisting of geographically dispersed and highly matrixed teams What may give you an edge: Demonstrable usage of AI based solutions like Snowflake Cortex, Databricks Genie, MS Copilot for data analysis, profiling and solutioning Ability to collaborate with Data engineers and deep dive into data pipelines to understand and extract business and technical logics. Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation or automation is a plus.
