This shift has bought about an increased requirement of digital assets, infrastructure, upskilling of teachers and content. With the requirement of tech-enabled learning solutions to only accelerate further, the Government is laying down new frameworks, and adopting an even more holistic and futuristic approach towards education and skill development. The education and skill development practice of KPMG in India comprises a team of experienced professionals delivering forward-looking advisory services across the spectrum, such as K-12 education including Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), foundational literacy and numeracy skills, Technical and Vocational Education, and Training (TVET), higher education, education technology, and supplementary education. Job Summary We are seeking experienced and motivated Consultants to support a government initiative focused on enhancing youth employability and industry engagement. The role involves full-time deployment at the client site in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. The Consultant will play a key role in bridging the gap between job seekers and employers by facilitating placements, identifying training needs, and coordinating with industry stakeholders. Roles & Responsibilities Engage with industries across sectors to identify job roles and employment opportunities. Onboard employers from high-demand sectors onto the government placement portal. Collaborate with industry associations, job aggregators, and placement agencies to expand employer outreach. Mobilize and onboard youth onto the government placement portal. Assess training needs based on youth skills and job market requirements. Facilitate the placement process: mapping candidates to job roles, shortlisting, orientation, interview coordination, and post-placement feedback collection. Monitor and report on placement activities and outcomes regularly. Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline. Minimum 4 years of experience working on projects with Central or State Government Ministries or Departments . Experience in youth mobilization, industry engagement, and placement facilitation is highly desirable. Preferred Skills Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with government portals and placement platforms. Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including employers, youth, and government bodies. Analytical mindset to assess training needs and match candidates with suitable job roles. Proficiency in MS Office and data reporting tools. Fluency in English and Malayalam is preferred for effective local engagement.
